This music is a reminder that the creative spirit is more than just a privilege, or a right, but a responsibility and something that we should cherish and honor as a foundational aspect of what makes us human. We come from nature and are meant to reflect nature in the ways that we take in our reality(ies) and then produce again out of those experiences. To be an artist is to be human. No matter what walk of life we choose, we have the ability and the responsibility to learn, to interact, to construct/destruct, build/destroy, to move (with intention). In the words of the great Aimé Césaire (heard at the end of Track 1):

"It is a land of anger, an exasperated land. A land which spits and spews life. That is what we must be worthy of. This creative part must be nurtured. This anger must be continued. We must continue. And not fall asleep into a sort of acceptance and resignation. There is a kind of challenge from history and a challenge from Nature."

Continue to live. Remain on fire, remain passionate. Honor yourself, the ancestors, and the Creation which we are blessed to play a part in.

A short collection of raps from Lefthand Monk over quality production. After releasing an EP fully produced by pres.morris, Monk draws upon other friends and contemporaries in the craft to find new canvases with which he can create.
